Honest and authentic! Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Lake Tegernsee in the Bavarian Alps, we offer you and your dogs the perfect combination of relaxation, nature and hospitality.
For 4 generations we have been living our philosophy ‘Holiday like home’,
which we can fully live out after the complete renovation in 2021.
From the regional breakfast with homemade products such as bread to the gourmet menu in the evening with junior chef Timo.
Whether relaxing walks along the lakeshore, hikes in the surrounding mountains or simply enjoying nature.
And what’s more, your dog is also very welcome in the restaurant.

Regional delicacies

Freshness, regional ingredients and the creativity of our head chef Timo Gierth will make your holiday at Lake Tegernsee a culinary experience. The fascinating combination of fine Mediterranean cuisine and hearty Bavarian specialities is what makes our dishes so special. Our speciality package includes menus, themed evenings and sumptuous buffets. Look forward to culinary fireworks: prepared with love and served with a smile by Franzi Gierth and her team.

Very special: Would you like to watch our junior chef at work? Then book Omas Erker and enjoy an evening in Timo Gierth’s kitchen.
From Grandma’s bay window, our so-called ‘Chef’s Table’, you can watch directly as the chefs stand at the cooker and get creative.

Dogs welcome

Because your dog is part of the family, of course he wants to come along.
With us you can! At Schnitzer’s Dahoam, we have made all rooms dog-friendly.
Your dog is also welcome in the restaurant or in our new cosy conservatory and can lie comfortably at the table while you eat. There is a large dog garden at the hotel and many great hiking trails in the region for plenty of exercise.

How about a gondola ride or a dip in the lake?
Very special! In our dog-friendly region on Lake Tegernsee, your dog doesn’t need a muzzle and can jump into the lake with you!
