A South Tyrolean speciality

Apple sorbet

Ingredients (6 people)

  • 750 g apples (Granny Smith)
  • 350 g granulated sugar
  • Juice of 1 organic lemon
  • Optional: 1 pinch of food colouring


Cut out the apples’ core. Cut the apples into quarters and cook with sugar, water, and lemon juice until soft (approx. 20 minutes). Remove apples from the cooker, puree, strain, and, if desired, colour with food colouring. Refrigerate the mixture for approx. 8 hours. Then mix the sorbet in the ice cream maker until creamy and serve.
